Watermelon Sorbet Delight (Print Version)

A refreshing watermelon sorbet that's easy to make with only three ingredients.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 4 cups seedless watermelon, cut into cubes (about 1 small watermelon)

→ Sweetener

02 - 1/3 cup granulated sugar or honey (adjust to taste)

→ Citrus

03 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Spread the watermelon cubes out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 2-3 hours, or until the cubes are solid.
02 - In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine the frozen watermelon cubes, sugar (or honey), and fresh lime juice. Blend until perfectly smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
03 - Taste, and adjust sweetness or lime juice if desired.
04 - For a scoopable sorbet, transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or airtight container and freeze for another 1-2 hours until firm.
05 - Serve immediately for a softer texture, or scoop after fully frozen.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It captures summer's essence in the simplest way possible.
  • You can adjust the sweetness to your liking, making it your own.
02 -
  • Never skip freezing the watermelon first; it’s the key to that perfect sorbet texture.
  • If you like a softer sorbet, consider adding a little vodka—it helps keep it scoopable!
03 -
  • Use ripe watermelon for the best flavor; it makes all the difference.
  • Try experimenting with other fruits; this technique works wonderfully with peaches and strawberries!
