One-Pan Garlic Herb Steak Bites (Print Version)

Tender steak bites seared in garlic butter with fresh parsley and thyme for a satisfying, one-pan dinner.

# What You'll Need:

→ Steak & Marinade

01 - 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Aromatics & Herbs

06 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
08 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
09 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

→ Optional Garnish

10 - Lemon wedges, for serving

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Combine steak cubes with olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Toss thoroughly to coat and marinate for a minimum of 10 minutes at room temperature.
02 - Set a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and allow it to preheat until hot.
03 - Transfer steak cubes to the skillet in a single layer. Sear undisturbed for 2 to 3 minutes, then turn and cook an additional 2 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Work in batches if needed to prevent crowding.
04 - Reduce heat to medium. Push steak to the side of the pan. Add butter and minced garlic, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
05 - Toss steak bites with garlic butter. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and thyme, mixing until well-coated.
06 - Plate steak bites immediately. Garnish with lemon wedges if desired and serve hot.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • No-fuss, all flavor: you'll only need a single pan and the bright taste rivals any steakhouse.
  • This recipe is my secret for impressing friends on a whim—even if I'm feeling lazy.
02 -
  • If the pan isn't hot enough, steak bites won't brown—I learned this after my first batch turned out grey.
  • Let the garlic cook only briefly or it will burn and leave a bitter taste that takes over the dish.
03 -
  • Dry your steak cubes with a paper towel before marinating for best browning.
  • Use tongs to flip steak bites for even cooking and to avoid burning your fingers.
