01 - 8.8 oz mascarpone cheese
02 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
03 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

→ Coffee Mixture

05 - 1/2 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
06 - 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)

→ Assembly

07 - 12 to 14 ladyfinger biscuits, cut to fit shot glasses
08 - Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
09 - Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Whisk together mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth.
02 - In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until medium peaks form.
03 - Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated without deflating.
04 - Combine cooled espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
05 - Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture; avoid soaking to prevent sogginess.
06 - Place a dipped ladyfinger at the bottom of each shot glass.
07 - Pipe or spoon a layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
08 - Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by mascarpone cream.
09 - Smooth the tops and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
10 - Before serving, dust with unsweetened cocoa powder and optionally garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
